The U.S. Forest Service has announced certain areas of the Coconino and Kaibab National Forest will temporarily be closed to public access beginning Friday and Saturday due to high risk of fire danger. On the Coconino National Forest, Fisher Point/Walnut Canyon, including Fisher Point, Marshal Lake, portions of the Arizona National Scenic Trail, Canyon Vista Campground, Sandys Canyon Trail, and Pumphouse Wash/Kelly Canyon, including Pumphouse Wash Dispersed Camping Area are closed. On the Kaibab National Forest, Bill Williams Mountain, including Benham Trail, Bixler Saddle Trail, Bill Williams Mountain Trail, Bill Williams Connector Trail, Buckskinner Trail, City of Williams Link Trail, Devil Dog Loop Trail, and Clover Spring Loop Trail are closed. Public access will not be permitted on all National Forest System lands, roads, and trails within the closure area. All areas outside of the closure still remain in Stage Two Fire Restrictions.
