The 2021 Monsoon Season continues to bring well-above normal rainfall to most of Northern Arizona. The National Weather Service says a few cities could see ten-inches of rain by the time the season ends September 15th. The Flagstaff Airport has seen over eight-inches of rain so far this season, which is nearly four-inches above normal. The Prescott Airport has seen over four-and-a-half inches of rain so far, which nearly an-inch-and-a-half above normal. Payson has seen just over nine-inches of rain since June 15th, which is nearly five-inches above normal and the Show Low Airport has received about nine-and-a-quarter inches of rain so far, which is over five-inches of rain above normal. Forecaster say expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms this week, with potentially heavy rainfall Tuesday and Wednesday with a possible drying trend in place by the weekend.
