The price of gas continues to climb, but it isn’t as much as the last couple of weeks this week. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas in the state is $2.40 a gallon, which is up two-cents a gallon from last week. Recently the state has seen a five-cent rise at the pumps for the past couple of weeks. In Flagstaff, gas prices are $2.50 a gallon on average, which is up over a cent from last week. Prices have jumped over 17-cents a gallon over the past month. Some stations in Flagstaff are selling gas for $2.49 and lower. In Prescott, the average price of gas is $2.44 a gallon, which is up three-cents a gallon from last week. Gas prices have climbed 19-cents a gallon over the last month. Some stations in Prescott are selling gas for $2.39 and lower. Triple-A says the reason for the recent gains at the pump is because oil prices went up and demand is still low.
