The average price of gas has gone over three-dollars a gallon in Arizona as prices at the pump continue to go up. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas in the state is up six-cents a gallon to $3.01. In Flagstaff, gas prices jumped ten cents a gallon on average to $3.18. Some stations in Flagstaff are selling gas for $2.99. In Prescott, gas prices jumped nearly seven-cents a gallon to $3.12 a gallon on average. Some stations there are selling gas for $2.95 and lower. Officials say refineries are in the middle of yearly maintenance season. That and the combination of higher demand and higher oil prices has caused prices to go up.
