The Navajo Nation is mourning the death of former tribal vice president Irvin Marcus Billy, who passed away last Friday in Tuba City. Billy was the tribe’s interim vice president from 1989 until 1991 and served as a Navajo Council delegate representing the Tuba City chapter. Billy’s funeral was this morning at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Tuba City. There’s no word on how he died. Billy was 77-years-old.
