Flagstaff is saying goodbye to a man who made a difference in the community. Steve Saville, who was the CEO of the Flagstaff Family Food Center until last year, passed away recently after he suffered a major heart attack back in May. Saville joined the food center in 1997 and has been active until he resigned last year. Under his guidance, the food center increased its capacity and now serves around 300-thousand people each year, through many hunger relief services and distributes over a million pounds of food to many non-profit agencies in Northern Arizona. A celebration of his life will be held at the Timberline Short Nine in Flagstaff on Saturday, July 29th at 11 a.m.
