The City of Flagstaff has hired a permanent manager of the newly created Office of Labor Standards. The city appointed Clifton Bryson to take over the office from James May, who was the interim manager prior to Proposition 414 taking effect July 1st. May lives in Phoenix and traveled back and forth each week and wasn’t looking to take the job permanently. Prior to the appointment, Bryson was a zoning compliance officer with the city. Bryson’s new position was created after voters approved the city’s new minimum wage law last November.
