The Flagstaff Police Department will be increasing the number of traffic stops in the city. Officials say the goal of the campaign is to increase general enforcement with the result of reducing the number of motor vehicle accidents from the year prior. During the operation, officers will be directed to make a traffic stop for any observed violation, including minor ones as well as equipment violations. Officers are encouraged to use appropriate discretion when deciding what enforcement to take, with either a warning or a citation. The campaign runs through April. If you wish to make a complaint, you can submit a form online at the city’s website under the police tag.
