A Flagstaff man has pleaded not guilty in connection with a fatal stabbing of an Oklahoma man back on March 31st in Flagstaff. Court officials say 27-year-old Phelan Connally entered the plea this week after he was charged with second degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Jason Hart. Police responded to a wooded area near The Museum Club north of 3480 East Route 66 at around 3 p.m. When officers arrived they found Hart with multiple stab wounds. Personnel from Sacred Peaks provided medical assistance until medical crews arrived. However, Hart was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators talked to witnesses who said Hart and Connally were involved in an argument. He told police he stabbed Hart after he was slapped by the man. Records show Connally immediately called police and stayed at the scene until they arrived. He is currently being held on 100-thousand dollars bond.
