The Flagstaff City Council will meet for a final time before their summer break this morning in a special session. A citizen’s petition was brought to council Wednesday night on the topic of the city’s parcels that have been set aside for affordable housing. The petition, signed by hundreds of people, wants the parcel on Schultz Pass to be designated as open space. The item is being treated as a future agenda item request that needs just two votes from council to be placed on a future agenda. The council will meet at 10 a.m. this morning to discuss the petition at the Coconino County Board of Supervisors chambers.
