Fire crews responded to an area about three-and-a-half-miles northeast of Lake Mary Road and State Route 87 near the Blue Ridge Ranger Station Thursday morning for a report of a wildfire. Officials with the Coconino National Forest say the White Fire was spotted at around 11:22 a.m. and is about five miles northeast of Clints Well. The fire burned around 13 acres and forward progress was stopped a few hours later. Ground crews and air attack are currently working the fire. There were no evacuations or structures threatened by the fire. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
