Coconino County Search and Rescue crews were busy Wednesday with two calls to the San Francisco Peaks. Around three p.m. a woman called 911 to report she got lost after starting a hike on the Peaks. The woman and her three kids, ages two to eleven from Phoenix, parked on the Snowbowl Road and started on a hike. She got confused and didn’t know her way back to her vehicle. A deputy responded to the area and met up the woman and helped her back to her car. At around 6:35 p.m. a 19-year-old male and his girlfriend from Phoenix were hiking Humphreys Trail when he thought he broke his ankle. Rescuers were prepared to carry him off the trail, but he was able to make his way halfway down the trail. Searchers reached the fallen hiker and was able to help him down the trail. He refused medical treatment.
