Coconino County has appointed a new deputy manager and director of special initiatives. County manager James Jayne has named Dr. Marie Peoples as the county’s deputy manager and Kim Musselman as the special initiatives director. Peoples has served as the chief health officer for the county’s public health services district since 2013. She will guide the critical county functions of justice, human services and health. Musselman is currently the special assistant to the county manager. She will oversee projects such as the Census 2020 and help manage transition of leadership at the health district. Musselman has served the county for 20 years in the county manager’s office. The county board of supervisors confirmed both appointments in Tuesday’s board meeting.
