The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was fatally shot last Friday in Kachina Village. Deputies responded to Gambel Oak Trail at around 4:40 p.m. after receiving a report there was a fight in progress. When they arrived they found 53-year-old Timothy Scott Larson unresponsive laying in the middle of the road. Larson was being guarded by an aggressive dog which was ultimately taken from the scene by a neighbor who knew it. A crew from the Highlands Fire Department arrived and began working on him to try and save his life, but Larson was pronounced dead a short time later. Deputies arrested 28-year-old Collin Tarr of Kachina Village on one count of second degree homicide. He is being held on one-million dollars bond. The case remains under investigation.
