The Coconino County Health Services District is reminding people to take precautions to protect against rabies. As we go into Spring, that means cases of rabies start to increase. Health officials say to avoid wildlife, especially animals that are exhibiting unusual behavior. Keep all pets current on vaccinations and obey leash laws. Also, seek immediate medical attention if you or a pet has been bitten by a wild animal. For more information on rabies, visit www.azhealth.org/rabies.
