The Coconino County Board of Supervisors has declared a State of Emergency due to major flooding in the north Schultz Flood area. The board made the declaration during a special session this morning. Numerous properties were impacted with flood waters and debris from the forest on Wednesday. Rainfall totals in the affected areas were between five and six inches of rain. Additional flooding is expected in the area. Residents who have received property damage are encouraged to call the Coconino County Call Center at (928) 213-2990 so officials can connect residents to resources for recovery. A sandbag site has been established at the old Tumbleweed Store site ate 11985 East Highway 89, across from the confluence of Copeland Lane and Highway 89.
