Both Coconino County and the City of Flagstaff declared states of emergency Thursday after record snowfall hit the region. The declaration means all city and county offices are closed for the day. However, court services, including the county attorney’s office and the clerk of the court will operate with minimal staff. The city’s declaration closes offices and seeks resources from the county. All available city resources are deployed to respond to the storm, clear streets and provide for public safety. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with the emergency to every degree possible and stay home.
