Coconino County Adding Folks 65 And Older To Phase 1B Vaccinations
Coconino County is moving to include those 65 and older in Phase 1B COVID-19 vaccinations. However the county is awaiting more doses of the Moderna vaccine so they can schedule more people to get the shot. All vaccine doses in Coconino County are matched with already booked appointments. There are currently no available appointments for vaccinations at the Fort Tuthill vaccination site. Those aged 65 and older are now being added to the County’s priority populations within Phase 1b and are eligible for vaccination when vaccine supplies allow. Individuals who qualify for the current Phase 1A and priority populations within Phase 1B eligibility are encouraged to check the County’s COVID-19 vaccine webpage at coconino.az.gov/covid19vaccine frequently as appointments could become available if cancellations occur. Health officials remind people to wear your mask, social distance, wash hands frequently, cover your coughs and sneezes and stay home when you’re sick.
I am over 75 and there are no available appointments. How does this help to decrease the age threshold and increase the size of the pool? Makes no sense.
I am 77 years old and would like to make an appointment to get the Covid-19 vaccine. Thank you.
You need to call the County for questions and direction. I took your personal information off this post so strangers won’t bug you.
My husband and I are both trying to get an appointment for the vaccination with no luck. (both age 72). We should some how be able to make an appointment even if it is weeks down the road so that we at least will be able to get vaccinated before the next phase starts.
You are right, but they only have appointments for the amount of vaccine they have. They don’t know how much more they will get. I talked to them today and they said they are expecting to get some in by Monday. Keep checking the appointment sheet online. They will release dates and times when they get more vaccine in stock.
The process of applying for your COVID vaccine is really confusing, especially for those of us who are not computer savvy. I am completely lost as to what to do. Can you help me?
There’s a lot of information in the comments. Read through them and if you have questions, call the county help line. (928) 679-7300.
Why wasn’t this dispersement ordered by eldest first and then down the line? Younger people meeting none of the criteria are getting vaccinated prior to the elderly! This could have been organized much better and more honorably…just hoping to get my 74 yr. old husband vaccinated soon and then me at 67.
