A small fire broke out north of Flagstaff Sunday. Coconino National Forest Service officials say the “Kendrick Fire” burned a mile west of Highway 180 near Kendrick Mountain and Horseshoe Hill, in the burn scar from the 1996 Horseshoe Fire. A woman is recovering at Flagstaff Medical Center after she was struck by a vehicle in Flagstaff on Monday. The Washington Avenue entrance into the Yavapai College Prescott Campus will be closed next week. College officials say a construction project on water drainage is forcing the closure.
