National Park Officials recovered a body below the rim near Trailview Overlook along Hermit Road at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon Tuesday. Officials say the body was identified as 31-year-old Lillian Meyn of Woodside, California. She was reported missing on Monday by a family member. Later that day her vehicle was found located at the South Rim near the Bright Angel Lodge. Body recovery teams were able to reach Meyn, who was located about 300 feet below the rim Tuesday morning. An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner.
