Some Highways Remain Closed In Northern Arizona

Some highways remain closed after this week’s winter storm blew through Northern Arizona. Here is a list of closures as of Wednesday: State Route 89A Between Sedona and Flagstaff through Oak Creek Canyon. State Route 89 north of Peeples Valley to just south of Prescott. Check back for the latest road closures.

Glendale Pilot Dies In A Helicopter Crash While Working The Polles Fire Near Payson

A helicopter pilot was killed Tuesday while flying a firefighting mission near the Polles Fire burning near Payson. Fire officials say the pilot was 37-year-old Bryan Boatman of Glendale, who leaves behind a wife and eight-year-old child. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
