There have been two schools in the Flagstaff Unified School District that have had positive cases of COVID-19 since students started returning for in-person study last week. Marshall and Sechrist elementary schools had individual cases of COVID-19 last week, in which parents were notified. FUSD officials say “individuals identified through the contact tracing process have been notified if they were determined to be a direct or in-direct contact. If a direct contact, there is a required quarantine period and testing requirement before returning to the school site.” Starting this week, all grades are now back to in-person instruction for the first time in a year. Parents do have the options of keeping their kids in remote learning.
