The Prescott National Forest is lifting shooting and fire restrictions Wednesday morning. Officials say due to recent moisture, cooler temperatures and shorter days, as well as a reduction in fire activity, the decision was made. While all restrictions will be lifted, forest visitors are reminded that potential for wildfires still exists and to use caution with campfires and other potential ignition sources. If you are planning to camp and have a campfire, make sure the wood is burned completely and your campfire is put out enough to where it’s cold to the touch.
