Over 100 students at St. Johns High School in northeastern Arizona have been exposed to COVID-19, however they are going back to class on Monday. The St. Johns Unified School District sent a letter out to parents Thursday talking about the incident and to tell parents school was canceled at all three schools Friday and Friday’s homecoming football game versus Miami was also canceled. Officials say the exposure happened when five guest teachers were at the LDS Seminary building across the street from the high school earlier this week. The exposure happened on Tuesday, during release time at the seminary building. While they were in the building, they were symptom free. On Wednesday, a person that lives with the five tested positive for the virus. The five teachers have now developed COVID-like symptoms, but have not been tested. St. Johns is 45 miles east of Show Low and 60 miles southeast of Holbrook in Apache County.
