Navajo Gaming’s Board of Directors has decided to keep all casino facilities closed until July 5th in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision comes after the extension of the executive order by President Jonathan Nez and Vice President Myron Lizer that will keep government buildings closed as well until July 5th. Officials say during the closures of Twin Arrows Casino Resort and three other properties in New Mexico, the properties undertook deep biohazard cleaning and sanitization processes to significantly reduce the risk of human exposure to known contractible viruses such as COVID-19. When the facilities reopen, Navajo Gaming will implement protection plans, including mandatory mask wearing by team members, physical distancing on the casino floor and all food and beverage locations, as well as other high traffic areas. Also temperature readings of guests and employees will take place and there will be one entrance for guests and another for employees. Guests will also be asked to use hand sanitizer before they enter the facility.
