A suspect wanted in “several shootings” on Interstate 40 near Winslow has been found. DPS officials says a man went into a gas station in Gallup, New Mexico at around 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, brandishing a weapon and was possibly headed to Arizona. About 90 minutes later, DPS put out a call to troopers that the an older model white Dodger Charger or Chevrolet Camero with a dark blue racing stripe on the hood was reportedly shooting at vehicles on westbound I-40 in Navajo County. Two semi-trucks were hit as well as a Dodge minivan. One person in one of the semi-trucks was slightly injured. There were no other injuries. A search ensued near Winslow. At around 1 a.m. Thursday, the suspect vehicle was found abandoned south of I-40 off Hibbard Road, east of Winslow. A man matching the description of the suspect was found nearby. Arrested was 37-year-old Kareem Martin Senior from Charlotte, North Carolina. The vehicle he was driving was reported stolen out of Georgia. Martin was booked into the Navajo Count Jail in Holbrook.
