A habitual shoplifter was arrested last week on multiple felonies in Cottonwood. Police were called to the Walmart on the two-thousand block of East Rodeo Drive back on August 25th. The officer was provided paperwork and surveillance footage of 49-year-old Neal Allan Sacheck of Rimrock. Video showed him shoplifting and scanning UPC labels for less than the intended purchase price and placing items into Walmart bags without scanning them while at the self-checkout on at least three occasions. With help from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Sacheck was located and arrested. He was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center on two counts of fraud, two counts of theft, forgery, unlawful use of a UPC label and three counts of misdemeanor shoplifting. He remains in custody on a $20-thousand dollar paper bond.
