A Flagstaff boy killed by a distracted driver in 2015 is now a comic book superhero. The Travelers Companies announced Thursday the release of “Zaadii: The Legend Of Z-Hawk,” which is a comic book inspired by three-year-old Zaadii Tso. The boy, his sister and mother were walking across a parking lot near the Best Buy store in the Flagstaff Marketplace when a car didn’t see him and hit the boy. Tso was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center and passed away the next day. To make the release happen, the company commissioned renowned comic book writers and artists Gail Simone, Jim Calafiore and Jeffrey Veregge and worked closely with Zaadii’s family to design a story honoring the boy as one of the first Navajo superheros. The comic book was revealed Thursday at New York Comic Con’s virtual event. There will be a panel discussion on the book Sunday at 10:50 Arizona time. To access a digital copy of “Zaadii: The Legend of Z-Hawk,” visit Travelers.com/Zaadii.
