The Department of Public Safety will participate in the International Roadcheck this week in Flagstaff. During the annual event, inspectors across the country, Mexico and Canada, conduct inspections targeting motor carrier, vehicle and driver safety. Inspectors will ensure the vehicle’s brake systems, cargo securement, coupling devices, driveline/driveshaft components and more. Inspections of motorcoaches, passenger vans and other passenger-carrying vehicles also include emergency exits, electrical cables and systems in the engine and battery compartments, and seating. Inspectors will look at vehicles between Wednesday and Friday on Interstate-40 and Interstate-17 in the Flagstaff area.
