It was a big night for the Coconino and Flagstaff high school football teams as both won in blowouts on the road Friday night. The Coconino Panthers led Prescott 28-0 at halftime and rolled to a 41-0 win. Running back Zach Bennett had 32 carries for 145 yards and two touchdowns and Manuel Cardoza had two catches for 110 yards , both catches for touchdowns with a third coming on the ground. Senior Jacob Begay also had a 94-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the win. The Panthers improve to 3-0 and will take on the Mohave Thunderbirds next Friday afternoon at Cromer Stadium. In Bullhead City, the Flagstaff Eagles got five touchdowns, four rushing, from Luis Jaramillo, as well as touchdowns from Marcus Salcido and Morgan Bewley as they rolled Mohave 50-7. The Eagles are also 3-0 and return home to take on the Prescott Badgers next Friday night at Cromer Stadium.
