In what was the state’s closest legislative race, Republicans Walt Blackman and Representative Bob Thorpe won a tight race over Democratic challenger Felicia French in Legislative District Six. Blackman won the race by 600 votes over Thorpe, who beat French by two-thousand votes. French had a strong showing in Coconino County and had a great showing in Yavapai County. Blackman and Thorpe had strong showings in Gila and Navajo counties. Thorpe is the incumbent in the race and will be serving in his final term in the state house.
