The ski season is over at Arizona Snowbowl and what a season it was. The ski area stayed open until May for the first time in the resort’s history. Snowbowl saw 323 inches of snow this year, which allowed the resort to remain open for 147 days, both of which are records. With the abundance of natural snow the mountain received this year, Snowbowl only used about 30-percent of its annual allocation of reclaimed wastewater from the City of Flagstaff. Snowbowl only made snow on 61 days, which was less that last year. The resort is transitioning to summer activities, with the scenic chairlift beginning at the end of the month.
