Affordable housing is the main topic of discussion at tonight’s Flagstaff City Council work session. Flagstaff Real Estate Manager Charity Lee will be giving a presentation tonight on affordable housing that will include current project updates and public housing development tools, as well as an overview of city-owned property with development potential. Also on the schedule for tonight’s meeting is a future agenda item request from Mayor Evans to discuss how the Shultz Pass parcel, which is the triangle at Shultz Pass Road at Highway 180, can be used for affordable housing. Five-hundred-thousand dollars of research has already gone into the property to test if it could sustain a housing community. Tonight’s work session begins at 6 p.m.
