It must be getting close to winter in Northern Arizona if State Route 67 leading to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is closing. ADOT has now closed the road for the winter. With park facilities closed for the winter, ADOT doesn’t plow the highway, which will be blocked about a half-mile south of Highway 89A at Jacob Lake. The road is set to reopen in mid-May along with North Rim lodges, campgrounds and other amenities. State Route 64 will remain open all year around to the South Rim.
