The first-ever Flagstaff gubernatorial forum brought to Northern Arizona four Republican candidates for governor, Libertarian Barry Hess, Democratic candidate Fred Duval and American Elect candidate John Mealer. Most of the candidates talked about the environment and education. Some also had some choice comments on the economy. Democratic Candidate Fred Duval said we have to rely more of the innovators in the next century to help bring Arizona back to the forefront. The only candidates that didn’t attend the forum was Andrew Thomas and the latest poll leader, Doug Ducey. The forum was held at a nearly-packed Cline Library auditorium.
